Growth Office Hours: Google Analytics 4 Overview
Overview:
Date Recorded: April 25th, 2023
Topic: Google Analytics 4
Speaker: Chris Nault
Summary:
In this presentation, I highlight the importance of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as an essential tool for businesses of all sizes.
GA4 provides improved features compared to Universal Analytics and focuses on privacy by essentially eliminating website visitors from being tracked as they browse online.
Instead, GA4 gives website owners more insights into what's happening on their site.
One of the key improvements in GA4 is the replacement of bounce rate with engagement rate, which tracks how long visitors spend on a site and their actions while there.
This data can help website owners understand where visitors are spending their time and should be considered when making website changes.
GA4 also enables cross-domain tracking, which is useful for businesses with multiple websites or subdomains.
For HubSpot users, many of these features may seem familiar, but I appreciate Google for catching up with the industry standard.
I recommend adding GA4 to your toolkit and having it run in the background to collect valuable data.
Setting up GA4 is surprisingly easy, and our team can provide a step-by-step guide for doing so.
We also offer a "Fix A Flat" product from Growth, which helps get GA4 up and running and includes an SEO and website audit.
This service is especially useful for those who want to ensure their website strategy is effective and optimized.
In summary, the benefit of using GA4 for improved website analytics is that it can help businesses make better decisions about their online presence and overall strategy.
By implementing GA4, businesses can gain valuable insights and make data-driven decisions for their websites.
